The Bufeo. Amazonía + Arte gallery and artist Andrés Matías Pinilla (Espacio El Dorado) receive the Premio EN OBRA totaling $220,000
At the close of the first day of arteBA, the tenth edition of the Premio EN OBRA was held in the Barrio Joven Chandon. Juan Cambiaso gave this important initiative its start, and today Joaquín Rodríguez and Abel Guaglianone are its directors. Thanks to efforts on the part of many collectors and arts enthusiasts who generously participate in this activity of patronage, this year the Bufeo. Amazonia + Arte gallery from Lima, Peru received $110,000 and the same amount was given to artist Andrés Matias Pinilla, showing at the Espacio El Dorado gallery from Bogota, Columbia. The organizers, who work to raise these funds, comment that “this is the largest non-acquisition prize in Argentina”, whose aim is to stimulate young artists’ creative talent and support the production of new, different and/or alternative spaces and their activities as an expression of their confidence in the valuable contribution that these practices make within the local art scene.
The jury for this tenth edition included curator Antonia Gaeta, collector Gabriel Vázquez, artist Juan Tessi and the organizers, Abel and Joaquín.
