The Ministry of Culture of GCBA present in arteBA

The Ministry of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires will once more participate in arteBA as a Silver Sponsor

As in the past, arteBA will have the support of the Municipal Government of Buenos Aires, which joins us in celebrating the 20th edition of arteBA, in recognition of the Fair’s importance as a cultural landmark for our city.

The Office of Museums, a division of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, will have an institutional stand dedicated to the reopening of the Pablo Ducrós Hicken Film Museum at its definitive site, a historic building in La Boca. Every day at the Fair the stand will be projecting two specially made audiovisual pieces exploring the holdings of this institute. As a central activity it will present CALDINI TRIPTYCH, an experimental film performance with three Super 8 projectors by Claudio Caldini, one of the leading figures in Argentine avant-garde filmmaking movements.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires will sponsor the OPEN FORUM 2011 program, a free and open-access event that will take place in the Fair’s auditorium, and serve as an important platform for presenting changes in and reflection on the city’s art scene.
