AEROPUERTOS ARGENTINA 2000 SHOWED KENNETH KEMBLE AT ARTEBA.2011, THE FAIR´S 20TH EDITION

For the second consecutive year, AA2000 participated at arteBA, the region’s most important contemporary art fair. Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 administrates and operates 33 airports over the whole territory of Argentina. As a business, it has a strong commitment to the culture, growth, and development of the country.

In this edition and within the company’s “RSE-Cultura” program (RSE: the Enterprise’s Social Responsibility), AA2000 presented the EspacioArte (ArtSpace) stand. Through this project, the company has been promoting and circulating the works of established Argentine artists as well as those emerging and newly arrived and emerging since 2003. Today, there exist 18 spaces at 15 airports around the country that allow employees, passengers and those accompanying them to enjoy their creations.

In this context, EspacioArte presented homage to Kenneth Kemble in which exhibited some of his most significant pieces. The artist was a precursor on the national scene and his vanguard creations marked an era in contemporary art, redefining the concept of what was considered art in the latter 1950s. Kenneth Kemble had a outstanding career and, throughout it, received a great number of prizes and mentions around the world. His influence and contribution can to this day be seen in the work of young artists who continue to innovate and advance a high-quality art with a strong poetic content.
