In keeping with the tradition of each edition of arteBA, and as part of its constant support of cultural and artistic activities, Chandon will, for the eleventh year in a row, make the first purchase at the Fair, behind closed doors.
As in past years, and maintaining the policy of museum donation which the company has conducted for over 20 years, the work will receive the Chandon Acquisition Prize and be donated to a representative artistic institution in Argentina.
In this instance, the museum chosen will be the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Buenos Aires (MAMBA), which last December reopened its doors after extensive building restoration.
Last year the winning artist in the Premio Chandon Acquisition Prize was Verónica Di Toro, with her work “Simetría N° 27,” which was donated to the Rosa Galisteo de Rodriguez Provincial Museum of Fine Arts of the city of Santa Fe.
