Panorama of Contemporary Latin-American Art: Visions and perspectives of action

The third edition of Panorama of the Contemporary Latin-American art, a series of lectures organized by the Department of Art of the University Torcuato Di Tella and arteBA Foundation, is entitled Visions and Perspectives of action, and had as aim to strengthen the Argentine collecting by offering to its assistants a combination of information, tools of reflection and models of action, through a series of conferences with some of the most out-standing figures of the Latin-American Art.

This year, the lectures included panoramic presentations dictated by two of the most prestigious professionals of the region. The Mexican Virgilo Garza will offered a conference on the Latin-American art market and the Mexican curator Cuauhtémoc Medina made a presentation on the importance of the current artistic discussions in the region.

Completing the series, two collectors dictated two conferences, which were selected as examples of professionalism and the unusual expansion of roles that collecting is going through in our days. Brazilian collector Pedro Barbosa exposed the multiplicity of projects and institutions in which he participates actively and the Argentinean Raul Naón exposed the unique profile of his collection of documents, as well as the methodology that guides his practice.

Admission Fee requested 10 scholarships for art professionals were available and the proceeds from this series went to the scholarship fund of the Artists’ Program of Torcuato Di Tella University.
